Katy Perry and Taylor Swift reunite after feud – but all isn’t as it seems
KATY Perry and Taylor Swift seemed to bury the hatchet as the long-feuding stars enjoyed a day out in Manchester.
The pair were invited by Hits Radio and have sent fans abuzz with the harmonious reunion.
Hits Radio invited them for a girls' day out in Manchester and the pair were seen leaving the studio before heading on a shopping spree and enjoying a bottle of prosecco in the sunshine.
But all isn't as it seems, as the pictures actually show two uncanny lookalikes of the famous entertainers.
A spokesperson for Hits Radio explained: "We're huge fans of Taylor Swift and Katy Perry at Hits Radio, and were thrilled when Taylor revealed that Katy had reached out to her.
"We hoped that whilst both in the UK this month they may use the opportunity to get together, and so decided to bring this moment to life. We hope it brings a smile to the nation."
The singers fell out in 2012 after Taylor claimed the Firework singer stole three of her backing dancers from her Red tour.
Two years later, she released the single Bad Blood, which was rumoured to be about the long-running feud after she told the hit was about another female artist who tried to “sabotage an entire arena tour”.
Taylor has never publicly revealed who the alleged artist is.
But Katy, who recently rekindled her relationship with British actor Orlando Bloom, then appeared to retaliate with the single Swish Swish.
The pair recently made amends for real when Katy Perry sent Taylor an actual olive branch and an apology letter on the opening night of her Reputation tour.
Swift, 28, posted a video of a package she had received from the Grammy Award winning singer on her Instagram Stories along with the words: "Thank you Katy."
As she films the gift, the hitmaker can be heard saying: “I just got to my dressing room and found this actual olive branch. This means so much to me.”
The letter is partially obscured but it appears Perry, 33, has written: "Hey Old Friend — I’ve been doing some reflecting on past miscommunications and hurt feelings between us."
She also wrote that she was “deeply sorry” and wanted to “clear the air" in the letter, which was in an envelope sealed with a dog sticker.
