Coronation Street fans shock as Simon arrested for burglary as Tracey and Steve get engaged
The troubled teen confessed all to the police after some pressure from father Peter Barlow
CORONATION Street fans were left in shock after Simon Barlow was arrested for burglary.
There was also a dose of romance in the air as his aunt Tracey Barlow became engaged to Steve McDonald.

Tonight's double bill started with the troubled teenager breaking into Adam Barlow and Daniel Osbourne's flat with pal Tyler where they attacked elderly Flora McArdle.
Simon, played by Alex Bain, along with gang ringleader Tyler, decided to hit up the OAP when they discovered she’d landed a £250k windfall from her dead son Vinny Ashford who was murdered by Pat Phelan.
But their plans went awry when Flora returned unexpectedly home and Tyler knocked her unconscious with a jewellery box.
While Tyler fled the scene, Simon stayed to make sure the old lady was okay, but landed himself in it with the police while doing so.

After initially refusing to discuss the thug's identity with police, Simon eventually confessed all after some pressure from father Peter Barlow during an intense interview at the local police station.
Elsewhere, love was in the air as a recovered Flora gifted her family heirloom engagement ring to young Daniel and prompted the youngster to propose to girlfriend Sinead.
As they celebrated back at the Barlow's residence - Tracey became disgruntled with her own romance with former flame Steve McDonald.

Cornering the soap favourite outside the pub, Steve accidentally proposed to Tracey while trying to reassure her of his commitment to her.
An ecstatic Tracey rushed back to the family home to share the joyous news.
Fans flocked to social media to comment on the dramatic scenes.
