HOLLYOAKS star Tamara Wall has announced her engagement to boyfriend Gareth Jones.

The actress - who plays Grace Black in the Channel 4 soap - actress took to her Instagram account earlier today to share a picture of herself and her boyfriend standing underneath a wall decorated with a heart, complete with the words "I said yes".

Tamara let the picture do the talking, simply captioning the image: "#engaged (sic)"

Gareth popped the question after a whirlwind romance for the happy couple.

The 40-year-old star has been enjoying a lovely sun-soaked break with her significant other in Ibiza of late.

On Saturday, she shared a photo of a picturesque harbour on Instagram, and added the caption: "Nothing quite like nighttime in Ibiza with the one you love #cringealert (sic)"

Last month, Tamara posted a picture of herself and her now-husband-to-be, and admitted she is so happy with the hunk.

She wrote: "I literally couldn’t be happier !! (sic)"

Tamara's character Grace Black hasn't been having such a good time of late though. Her alter-ego has been subjected to months of domestic abuse at the hands of her boyfriend Glenn Donovan (Bob Cryer), which has seen him spit at her among other horrific moments.

Following one particularly emotional 'Hollyoaks' episode last month, Tamara pleaded with anyone suffering from similar issues to try to get help.
