DESPERATE PLEA

Emmerdale spoilers: Charity Dingle begs her son Ryan Stocks to give her another chance after she cruelly rejected him

CHARITY Dingle looks set for heartache as she desperately tries to reconnect with long-lost son Ryan Stocks in Emmerdale next week.

The blonde landlady recently discovered that the baby boy she’s spent the last 20-something years grieving for is actually alive.

But their reunion was bittersweet when Charity, played by Emma Atkins in the ITV soap, discovered he suffers with cerebral palsy following complications at birth.

Charity was only 14 when she gave birth to Ryan after a horrific ordeal where she was kept prisoner and raped by twisted copper DI Bails.

Shocked and scared by the pregnancy, she tried her best to get rid of the baby by drinking.

When she gave birth, the tot was taken away from her because he wasn’t breathing.

Teenage Charity then saw her baby son flat-lining and she fled from the hospital believing she’d killed him.

After meeting him, Charity decided that Ryan – who is now in his 20s- would be better off without her in his life and drunkenly left him a scathing voice message saying she wanted nothing to do with him.

But when she sobered up, she regretted her actions and has been trying to get Ryan to talk to her ever since, recently sending him a letter attempting to explain.

Ryan’s adopted mum Irene arrives in the village next week, wanting to talk to Charity, leaving her anxious.

Irene confronts Charity about the letter and tells the blonde to leave Ryan alone.

A desperate Charity pleads with Irene and promises she won’t let him down again, but will Irene listen?

Emmerdale airs weeknights, 7pm, on ITV.
