JAMIE Redknapp has revealed plans for another League Of Their Own US road trip as filming begins on the 13th series.

The former football pro exclusively told The Sun Online: "We just started a new series - I do get a little bit nervous doing it but it's always good fun.

"At times it doesn't feel like a job... We've just done another road trip around Europe and we're hopefully going back to the US."

Jamie added: "We'd like to do another road trip there so we are trying to push the producers so we can go over and see James again. Fingers crossed."

Jamie described comedian Jack Whitehall's departure as "a bit of a shame," before adding: "We've got some great comedians that are doing this series. Romesh Ranganathan is going to come on and Tom Davis who I really like."

Jamie, 45, went on to explain how US stardom has impacted show host James Corden's on-set behaviour.

He told The Sun Online: "James hasn't changed - we'd love to say he has. We do wind him up about it but no, no changes at all.

"If anything he's become nicer, but he's done a great job and I am hugely proud of his success."

After launching the popular sports game show in 2010, James has gone on to front his own primetime US chat show and appear in a string of blockbuster movies.

Jamie added: "He's done an amazing job and to go to America and crack it is great because not many people do."

As filming started on the upcoming series, Jamie made headlines after fracturing his wrist on set.

Jamie suffered the injury while protecting his face after co-panellist Romesh Ranganathan, dropped a football on him from 120ft.

The former Liverpool midfielder was forced to go to hospital after filming at London’s Elstree Studios.

A show source said: “The boys were trying to break a world record when Jamie had his accident.

Romesh went up a huge crane and dropped a football on Jamie, who was standing directly beneath him.

“Jamie put his right arm up to protect his head but the ball came down at such a pace, it caused Jamie a lot of pain.

“Jamie put on a brave face and continued with the show before taking a trip to hospital.

“He was diagnosed with a broken scaphoid bone and is expected to film the rest of the series in a cast.”
