Liam Payne insists he’d never take baby Bear away from mum Cheryl but gets ‘upset’ when he has to leave him
LIAM Payne might have broken up with Cheryl Tweedy, but he's insisted he would never take their son Bear away from her.
But the singer also admitted that he "gets upset" when he has to leave him.
Speaking to , Liam said: "It’s been very hard, being away, being out on the road.
"Babies want their mum, I would never have wanted to get in the way of that.
"It was actually easier to go out on the road just knowing he wanted his mum.
"Now he looks at me and points at me like, ‘Here’s this fun guy!’ He knows.”
Confessing he doesn't like leaving his one-year-old son, he added: "That makes me more upset now, leaving, because I know he’ll want to see me.
"But he’s not at the place yet where he’s crying when I leave, that’s gonna be absolute disaster. I’m not ready for that."
The Sun recently revealed that Liam and Cheryl ended their two-and-a-half-year relationship after months of relationship problems.
Liam moved out of moved out of the £5million mansion they shared in Surrey, but they vowed to raise Bear together.

A pal revealed: “Cheryl and Liam worked really hard on their relationship – they had troubles earlier this year and were able to get through them.
“But they’re in different stages of their lives and, after a lot of careful thought, came to a decision that it’s best for everyone if they do go their separate ways.
“He still cares for her and she cares for him. They still have an ongoing relationship together. They have a baby together.
"Both Cheryl and Liam have successful careers that take a lot of time, which didn’t always make things easy. There were ups and downs for a long time.”
