THE Crown has returned for another spectacular Netflix series and there's been a few changes since it last aired in 2017.

With a whole new star-studded cast, from the likes of Olivia Colman to Helena Bonham Carter, here's who else appears in series three...

Who's in The Crown series three cast?

Olivia Colman plays Queen Elizabeth

Olivia Colman, 45, replaces Claire Foy as the monarch.

The actress has racked up a long list of film and TV credits, most notably ITV crime drama Broadchurch, in which she plays Detective Sergeant Ellie Miller.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Olivia said: “I’m really nervous to take over something that’s been so great — it’s scary.

“They’re giving me a great voice coach who will make sure I speak like the Queen.

"So I’ll just learn the lines and try and copy exactly what they do.

“Claire Foy has let me know I can call if I need to.”

Helena Bonham Carter plays Princess Margaret

The English actress, 53, is known for films like Alice in Wonderland and Harry Potter.

She takes on the role of Princess Margaret from Vanessa Kirby.

Before she got into acting, Helena had no formal training but launched her career when she won a writing contest in 1979 and used the money to get into the Spotlight directory for actors.

Her first lead role was as the title character in the 1986 film Lady Jane and she also played Lucy Honeychurch in A Room With a View.

Tobias Menzies plays Prince Philip

Tobias, 45, is best known for starring in Game of Thrones.

He played Edmure Tully,  the son and heir of Lord Hoster Tully, from 2013 to 2016, before returning in the final series in 2019.

The actor takes over the role of Prince Philip in The Crown - following in the footsteps of Matt Smith who starred as the Queen's husband for Seasons one and two.

Josh O'Connor plays Prince Charles

Josh, 29, is best known known for his portrayal of Johnny Saxby in the 2017 film God's Own Country, directed by Francis Lee, for which he won a British Independent Film Award for Best Actor.

The star is also well-loved for playing Lawrence on ITV hit show The Durrells.

Josh has had roles on Ripper Street and Peaky Blinders.

The actor will be playing an older Prince Charles.

Speaking about his role to ES Magazine, the actor said: "I think the first thing I learned is that it’s totally impossible to replicate the real man.

";I don’t know who he is, none of us do."

Ben Daniels plays Lord Snowdon

The 55-year-old trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and secured one of his roles as Justin Hayward, the lead singer of the Moody Blues, in two of the band's music videos.

Ben is classically a stage actor and won the 2001 Olivier Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in All My Sons, a decade after he was first nominated for his role in Never the Sinner.

Jason Watkins plays Prime Minister Harold Wilson

The Line of Duty actor has had countless television roles including parts in Trollied, Midsomer Murders and Hold The Sunset.

He has won a Bafta for his performance in the two-part drama The Lost Honour of Christopher Jefferies.

As well as his work in TV, he has also starred in films such as Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, Nativity! and Wild Child.

Erin Doherty plays Princess Anne

Call the Midwife's Erin had a brief stint in the BBC drama in 2017 and appeared in the TV mini series of Les Miserables.

Born in Crawley, West Sussex, Erin studied at the Guildford School of Acting for one year, before starting a three-year theatre programme at the Bristol Old Vic theatre.

Marion Bailey plays The Queen Mother

The British actress is best known for her work with film director Mike Leigh, who she is also in a relationship with.

Their collaborations include Meantime, All or Nothing, Vera Drake and Mr. Turner.

She has also had roles in notable dramas including The Bill, Holby City and A Touch of Frost.

When is season three of The Crown on Netflix?

Series three of The Crown returned to Netflix on November 17, 2019.

The new season premiered exclusively on Netflix just as the first two did.

Seasons one and two aired in 2016 and 2017 and the Netflix drama has already been renewed for a fourth series.
