EYES HAVE IT

Celebrity Big Brother bosses reveal brand new ‘eye of the storm’ ahead of explosive new series with Ryan Thomas and Gabby Allen

Celebrity Big Brother bosses have revealed the brand new eye ahead of the next series.

The hit Channel 5 show will begin on August 17 and has the theme of the “eye of the storm”.

The new eye logo is suitably surrounded by murky clouds and is brightly coloured with lightening bolts running through it.

As The Sun Online previously revealed, this series will focus around retribution and insiders said it would be like “a public therapy session”.

Bosses pushed the start date back this year to avoid clashing with the hugely popular Love Island.

Last summer the Channel 5 show’s audience dropped by almost half after its launch – scoring a moderate 690,000 viewers for a Sunday night episode compared to Love Island’s huge audience of 1.5 million.

CBB started on August 1 last summer, and with Love Island’s popularity higher than ever before, it seems they’ve made the move to help ratings. Civilian Big Brother will take place after the celebrity series has aired.

The start date comes as The Sun revealed that former TV presenter John Leslie is in talks to join the show.

It comes just a month after he was cleared of sexual assault, following an accusation that he put his hand down the back of a woman’s trousers in a nightclub on her hen night.

A source said: “Producers for the show are particularly keen on signing John. They have tried previously but they are hopeful they can convince him to sign up.

“He has had a couple of meetings and the signs look promising. They think he would make good TV and would have lots to say.

“They hope the temptation of being back on telly will be enough to convince John to take part.”

The Sun Online previously revealed that Love Island star Gabby Allen has signed up for the show and is ready to spill the beans on Marcel cheating on her.

Joining Gabby will be Towie’s Bobby Norris.

Other names in the running include Chloe Ayling, Sinitta and Georgia May Foote.
