Love Island’s Dani Dyer kicks off at Dr Alex after he dumps Alexandra and tries to date new girl Laura
Alex's head was turned when new Laura entered the villa and his attraction to Alexandra fizzled
DANI Dyer has hit out at fellow Love Island contestant Dr Alex George for going off Alexandra Cane in favour of new bombshell Laura Crane.
During this evening’s episode, Dani asks Alex: “You fancy Laura, don’t you?”, to which the medic replies: “Yeah, she’s hot.”
Unable to hold back her disappointment, Dani tells him: “I’m gutted Alex, I ain’t gonna lie. I don’t like this game anymore.”
Later in the Beach Hut, she adds: “Alexandra has come in here, she’s worked hard with Alex, she was all over him, he was all over her, they were absolutely fine, a new girl’s come in with a surfboard and you want to jump on it and mug someone off.”
Speaking about Alexandra, Dani then tells Alex: “She was really upset last night, be a bit more of a man and actually just see if she’s okay.”
But Alex is not sure he’s actually in the wrong, responding: “Well, hang on Dani, I have been a man.
“I’ve told her I’m not ready to be exclusive, which is what I said to her, which I think is very fair after five days.”
On his newfound attraction to Laura, Alex, who has also disappointed fans with his treatment of Alexandra, tells her while trying to get to know her: “We do have very similar interests so it did trigger my mind. The boys also said, ‘I’m not being funny mate but you need to get to know Laura because she is your type.’”
Laura tells him: “I’m in here to find something at the end of the day.”
In the Beach Hut, she admits: “I really like Alex, he surprised me. He is a lot more confident than I thought he was going to be.
“He said some lovely things and he is a real gentleman.”
Speaking the next day about her dwindling relationship with Alex, Alexandra tells old Laura: “I just had such a weird feeling all day yesterday so I spoke to him and I said ‘I like you’ and he said he just wanted to keep things open and wanted to get to know the new girls, in particular new Laura.
“For me, that says to me you’re not really that interested. I’m not going to force somebody to like me.
“At the same time, I just don’t want to be an option. As lovely as he is, I just thought, ‘I don’t need to be sat here feeling sorry for myself because someone isn’t interested.’”
She goes on to have a chat with Alex and tells him: “I guess today I have to be honest and say, I don’t want to be an option. I want someone to feel sure about something.”
Alex replies: “It’s not about being an option. It’s ‘am I ready to be exclusive with you’ and I’m not. And I really am surprised that you would be ready to be exclusive with me.”
Alexandra tells the A&E doctor: “I’m not saying I would. Yesterday I felt such a bad vibe, I just needed a bit of reassurance.”
But Alexandra is not going to get the reassurance she requires as Alex wants to cool things off for the time being.
He tells her: “I think what we should do is take a step back from everything. Reasses.”
Love Island airs tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
