ROXANNE Pallett has returned home from hospital after a horror stock car crash saw her airlifted to hospital.

The former Emmerdale star lost consciousness for 30 seconds after the accident which happened while she was filming a video to promote the Outlaw Gold Top Shootout event.

Roxanne, 35, had been racing against her Minster FM breakfast show co-host Ben Fry, when she smashed into a concrete wall.

After an overnight stay in hospital, where she had a CT scan, Roxanne was allowed to come home.

She was nursing two sprained wrists and is suffering with nasty bruising.

Despite her injuries she appeared in bright spirits and was supported by her boyfriend Lee Walton.

She clutched a large bouquet of flowers as they walked from their car to the house they share in York.

Onlookers told The Sun Roxanne was “lucky to be alive” after the nasty accident.

An insider said: “She tried to overtake Ben on a bend and was travelling too fast and smashed into the concrete wall on the track.

“She lost consciousness for about 30 seconds on impact. Fortunately she was wearing a helmet and race gear.”

Video footage of the aftermath of the crash showed a green helicopter taking off from the middle of the raceway.

Two fire engines, a police van and white Mercedes were parked on the track nearby.

The shock smash comes just a day after sexy new pictures of Roxanne were released from her new horror film, Habit.

The film, which is released on DVD next week, is imilar to Quentin Tarantino's classic From Dusk till Dawn.

Roxanne's character Alex works at a brothel which is a cover for flesh-eating killers.

A doorman called Michael, played by Elliot Langdridge, discovers the horrifying events that are taking place – and all hell breaks loose.
