Amir Khan accused of transphobia after he calls Caitlyn Jenner ‘Bruce’ three years after she legally changed her name
The boxing champ put his foot in it again
AMIR Khan has been accused of being transphobic after posting a picture of himself with Caitlyn Jenner and labelling it "Bruce".
The pair posed for the picture at the ESPY Awards at the Microsoft Theatre in LA and even though he later posted another picture correctly naming the reality star, fans didn't hold back about his earlier mistake.
One wrote: "Amir Khan is not funny for calling Caitlin Jenner Bruce he demonstrates what a transphobic c*** he is. And I don’t even like Caitlin Jenner."
Another weighed in with: "Amir Khan calling Caitlyn Jenner ‘Bruce Jenner’ at the #ESPYS though !!! KILLED ME!
While another fan said it "wasn't funny".
Caitlyn, 68, underwent gender reassignment surgery in January 2017, almost two years after she revealed her decision to transition.
Back in April 2015 Caitlyn had a sit down chat with American chat show host Diane Sawyer and told her: My brain is much more female than it is male.
"That's what my soul is.
"Bruce lives a lie. She is not a lie.
"I can't do it anymore."
Meanwhile its not the first time Amir has got into hot water for saying the wrong thing.
Last year, when appearing on I'm A Celebrity, Amir was accused of "casual sexism" when he asked if the UK has ever had a female Prime Minister.
Despite Theresa May being in power, the boxing star left fans stunned when he asked the "idiotic" question.

Viewers also accused him of the same thing after he called Georgia Toffolo a "small little girl" while assessing her Kung Fu technique.
Amir sent Twitter into meltdown mode after asking the camp: "Has a woman ever become Prime Minister?"
As his campmates looked at him in horror, he hastily backtracked: "Oh, Margaret Thatcher. S**t!"
Rebekah Vardy then told him that Theresa May is currently prime minister - to which he replied: "Oh and Theresa May. Guys don't tell no-one that."
