Love Island’s Muggy Megan Barton Hanson once dated porn baron known as the ‘British Hugh Hefner’
Paul Baxendale-Walker, 54, also known as Paul Chaplin, built a porn empire after quitting his job as a taxation lawyer
LOVE Island star Megan Barton Hanson once dated a former porn baron known as Britain’s version of Hugh Hefner, The Sun on Sunday can reveal.
The glamour model had a romance with fallen multi millionaire and one-time sex addict Paul Baxendale-Walker, who is 30 years her senior.
A source close to ‘Muggy’ Megan revealed: “Paul was completely smitten and would lavish gifts on her all the time.
"He said she was one of the most gorgeous girls he has ever seen - and he has dated a lot of women.
"He even gave her a nickname - Dolly.
“The relationship might have got more serious but Paul has been through a lot in the past year and Megan had her own ambitions, so it didn’t work out in the end.”
Megan, 24, has declared undying love for fellow Love Island contestant and design engineer Wes Nelson, 20, who she started dating after rejecting co-stars Alex Miller, 28, and Eyal Booker, 22.
But we can reveal that the ex-stripper’s new romance comes hot on the heels of the fling Oxford-educated former taxation lawyer Paul, 54, who swapped writing legal text books for a new life as a porn star, director and adult film boss. He founded Bluebird Productions Limited in 2005 and went on to make a fortune as he turned it into the fifth biggest pornographic movie firm in the world.
Seven years later, in 2012, he bought men’s magazine Loaded as well as glamour mags Mayfair, Men Only and Club International.
He also founded what he called the ‘Hunny Bunny Club’ - a harem of glamorous women who would sleep with him in exchange for expensive gifts.
Bouffant-haired Paul previously said of the club: “It was like football, in that I had a premier league, which would be about 20 girls at any given time.
"They’d get a house to live in and a car - some got Audis, some Mercs.
“The lower-league girls got holidays, shoes and a bit of help with their rent every now and then. In return, they provided me with sex and occasional companionship.”
It is not suggested that Megan had any involvement with the club and Paul is believed to have ended the club and checked himself into rehab for sex addiction before he met the reality star last year.
The businessman got embroiled in a legal battle in 2013 by one ex-girlfriend he “relegated,” glamour model Natasha Eustace, then 25, over her right to keep a Range Rover and a £300,000 Surrey flat owned by one of his companies.
He hit back that she was a “gold digger” who had been rewarded for “sex and occasional companionship” and the court case led to him being compared to late Playboy boss Hugh Hefner.
