HELENA Bonham Carter has been pictured on The Crown set as Princess Margaret for the first time.
The actress joined co-star Ben Daniels as she got to work filming her first few scenes, and she was in full costume.
Ben plays Margaret's husband Lord Snowdon.
Filming took place at Hylands Park in Essex, which was doubling up for The White House in Washington, USA.
The British actress, 52, takes on the regal role for season three of the popular programme.
Helena is replacing Vanessa Kirby, who played her for the first two seasons of the hit Netflix show.
Helena has previously spoke of her fears about dating on the role.
She said: "I'm not sure which I'm more terrified about – doing justice to the real Princess Margaret or following in the shoes of Vanessa Kirby.
"The only thing I can guarantee is that I'll be shorter than Vanessa."
The new series of The Crown has an impressive cast list, with Olivia Coleman replacing Claire Foy as Queen Elizabeth.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Olivia said: “I’m really nervous to take over something that’s been so great — it’s scary.
“They’re giving me a great voice coach who will make sure I speak like the Queen.
"So I’ll just learn the lines and try and copy exactly what they do.
“Claire Foy has let me know I can call if I need to.”
