Raised in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, she studied acting at Oscars Academy of Performing Arts in Huddersfield and the Arden School of Theatre in Manchester.

She landed her first role, playing Busty Babs in series Brazen Hussies, in 1996.

What happened to Tanya on Footballers’ Wives?

Zoe’s role as Tanya Turner in Footballers’ Wives is her most famous to-date.

She played the ringleader of the wives, and was known as the evil character after two of her three husbands died.

She made a crossover appearance in ITV’s Bad Girls for series 4, leading to a dip in ratings for Footballers’ Wives.

Tanya returned to the main show in series 5 to face-off with Joan Collins.
