Who is DJ Tim Westwood?
Tim Westwood was born on October 30, 1957, and is an English DJ and a TV and radio presenter.
He is the son of former Anglican Bishop of Peterborough, Bill Westwood.
He grew up around East Anglia, and attended the independent Norwich School.
During his career, Tim has DJed for many radio stations, including the newly formed radio stations Kiss FM (which he co-owned) and LWR in the 1980s, followed by mainstream station Capital FM (from 1987).
In December 1994, following a shake-up of Radio 1 by the then chief executive Matthew Bannister, he became the station's first Rap Show presenter.
He has been accused in the media of giving false statements about his age and background.
In 2000, at the age of 43, Westwood insisted to a Guardian journalist that he was aged 27.

Gunmen on a motorbike pulled up alongside his Range Rover in Kennington, South London and opened fire.
Speaking about the attack he said: “A bullet went through the back of my seat an inch from my spine.
“Another bullet went through my arm and missed the nerves which would have left me paralysed.
"The guy in the back seat had his kneecap blown off. Am I not blessed? Thank God I’m alive and everyone survived.”

Westwood vehemently denies the claims made against him.
As part of a joint investigation, the BBC and the Guardian have allegedly heard detailed accounts from seven women.
Two of the women say they agreed to come to London to meet him to discuss music, but allege that he drove them to a flat to initiate unwanted sex instead.
One of them was 19 at the time, while he was 53.
Another woman says she met the DJ when she was 17 and part of an R&B group and he was in his mid-30s.
She alleges Westwood performed an unwanted sex act on her.
Four more women have accused him of either touching their bottoms or breasts while they posed for photographs with him at different events he was performing at.
