RAPPER Tinchy Stryder has paid tribute to 'super cool legend' Barry Chuckle after the TV star's death was announced today.
The children's entertainer - real name Paul Elliott - passed away surrounded by his family, aged 73, sparking a flood of tributes to the star.
Brother Paul, 70, described him as 'my brother, my theatrical partner and my very best friend'.
One of the beloved ChuckleVision brother's lesser-known talents was rapping, which was showcased when he appeared in a single alongside Tinchy Stryder.
The London-born star released 'To Me, To You (Bruv)' with lyrics based on the brothers' iconic catchphrase.
The charity single reached number 92 in the UK Singles Chart in October 2014.
Paying tribute to Barry today, Tinchy wrote on Twitter: "Funny, Down to earth, super cool, talented, humble legend. Rest in peace Barry Chuckle! #ToMeToYouBruv".
Fans responded by suggesting the track should be re-released in tribute to the comedian.
Barry's manager Phil Dale announced the sad news in a statement today.
The statement said: "It is with great sadness that the family announce that Barry passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his wife Ann and all his family.
"The family would like to express their thanks to the many people who have been fans of the Chuckle Brothers and they know that they will share in part the great, great loss they feel."
Barry had fallen ill while filming for a new Channel 5 show 'Chuckle Time' earlier this year and his condition deteriorated.
Their father James Elliott went by the stage name Gene Patton and worked the London club scene, even performing with an 18-year-old Peter Sellers in 1943.
Barry and Paul first broke onto the BBC in 1985 with the show Chuckle Hounds, which was aimed at pre-school children and saw the comedy duo dressed as dogs.
But they found fame with ChuckleVision, which became known for catchphrases such as 'To Me To You' and 'Oh dear, oh dear'.
