EASTENDERS legend Sharon Mitchell is one of the most fearsome women in Walford history - and now she's got a hairdo to match.

The businesswoman - who is played by actress Letitia Dean in the BBC soap - opted for a slicked back 80s style bouffant in tonight's episode and took power styling to a new level.

Sitting casually in her kitchen Sharon drank a nice brew as she told her son Dennis that he couldn't have a new phone after all the trouble he had caused.

But instead of praising her parenting decisions, viewers were too distracted with her hair to mention anything and isntead thought Dog the Bounty Hunter has arrived in Walford and started working as a hairdresser.

One wrote: "Wtf has Sharon done to her hair?! #EastEnders"

A second added: "Holy Mary & the baby Jesus ...who got Sharon ready the oompah loompas? #EastEnders"

A third tweeted: "Hey Sharon, the 60s called and want their hair and make-up back...#Eastenders"

Another commented that she looked like Mariah Carey, saying: "OMFG Sharon’s new hair!!! The British Mariah strikes again!! #EastEnders"

Others were just astounded by it.

One wrote: "Sharon’s back-comb is.... interesting. #EastEnders"

Another said: "Sharon is looking like an albino Dracula tonight #EastEnders"

Others were just thrilled the icon that is Sharon was back on screen and called for her to have a spin-off.

One wrote: "Someone at the BBC arrange for QUEEN Sharon to have her own spin off please. Or a one hander episode where she heads to oxford street and buys herself some fancy new clobber #EastEnders"
