Kirstie Allsopp reveals she’s leaving her £16m fortune to her two sons – but ONLY if they get a job
KIRSTIE Allsopp is planning to leave her multi-million pound fortune to her two sons - but they have to be in employment before they get their hands on the cash.
The telly star, 46, is worth around £16million thanks to her lucrative career in TV and property, and says sons Bay Atlas, 12, and Oscar Hercules, nine, will inherit the lot when she dies.
But Kirstie - who's married to property tycoon Ben Anderson and estimated to earn £500,000 a year - says her boys will have to have forged their own careers first.
She told Prima magazine: "Ben and I have been fortunate to make a considerable amount of money and I want my children not to have to do that.
"If they want to be a teacher, midwife or research scientist, I want them to be able to do that.
"The privilege of the money we've earned is that the kids can do what they like."

But if her boys decide to take the lazy option and not work, Kirstie will disinherit them.
She said: "I'd be horrified if they didn't work and wouldn't give them a penny.
"I'd be thrilled if they lived nearby, teaching at a local school while I looked after their children – that's my dream scenario.
"I hope the fact that they're OK [financially] gives them freedom to do good things."
The Location, Location, Location star's decision to leave her kids millions is the complete opposite of her fellow celeb parents, such as Sir Elton John, Sting and Simon Cowell - all of whom have said they they won't leave their children a penny.
Kirstie, eldest child of Charles Henry Allsopp, 6th Baron Hindlip, has previously revealed she flies business-class while her kids are in economy.
She told The Sun: “If I’m going to spend money, it’s on the holiday itself rather than the flights.
“When we fly as a family, the boys do fly separately from Ben and me if we’re not in economy together.
"Obviously this wasn’t the case when they were little but now they are big enough to sit separately, they do.
“Club Class should be a huge treat you’ve worked hard for.
"If kids get used to it, what do they have to work towards?
"It seems like an absurd waste of money and very spoiling.
"I suspect Gordon Ramsay and I can’t be the only ones to think this.”
