JAMES Corden has revealed Kanye West cost his Late Late Show £34,000 after cancelling his Carpool Karaoke appearance at the last minute.
During a chat with Kris Jenner on the talk show last night, he was quizzed on why the rapper hadn’t appeared on the popular segment.
He told her: “I can answer this easily. This is a great question for me.
“We’ve tried. He’s cancelled twice. Maybe even three times.
“He cancelled once as I was turning the corner to his house.
I was in a car and by the time the call finished, I was sat outside his house and they were like ‘he’s not in the zone for it right now. We’ll do it another time.”
By way of apology, the British TV host revealed Kanye later sent a “lovely gift”
He recalled: “He sent me these incredible flowers in a cube which I’d never seen before. And he sent me a pair of Yeezys.
“And people were like ‘oh they’re so expensive’.
“And I’m like, ‘yeah they cost my show £45,000 dollars.’
Carpool Karaoke is a recurring segment on James’s show where famous musical guests sing along to their songs while they drive around.
So far celebrities including Paul McCartney, Madonna and Adele have all taken part.
James previously said he got inspiration for the segment after a Red Nose Day sketch where he sang along with George Michael in a car.
