Ashley Roberts confirmed as the latest star to sign up to Strictly Come Dancing
PUSSYCAT Dolls star Ashley Roberts has been confirmed as the ninth celebrity to sign up for this year's Strictly Come Dancing.
The singer will join the likes of Steps star Faye Tozer, YouTuber Joe Suggs and cricketer Graeme Swann on the BBC One dancing show.
The Sun revealed earlier this month that Ashley, 36, had joined this year's line up and the news was confirmed this morning.
She tweeted: "So... the pussycat’s out the bag!! Ahhh sooo beyond excited for this adventure!!! CANT WAIT!! #strictly."
Ashley has already revealed she dreams of being partnered with a single male pro dancer.
A TV source said: “Ashley’s been single for years. She feels ready to meet someone and settle down.
“She’s had an amazing career and now wants to open her life up to having a serious relationship.
“She’s seen plenty of romances blossom on Strictly over the years and hopes that the same could happen for her.”
Ashley is open about her unsuccessful love life and admitted: “Love is the one thing that hasn’t quite happened yet.”
Yesterday, documentary maker Stacey Dooley and This Morning's Dr Ranj Singh were confirmed for the show.
Stacey said she can’t wait to get started on the show, telling her fans: "I'm so, so ready to embrace this and take to the dancefloor!
“It’s happening! My mother is going to explode. 2018 has already been an incredible year for me.
“I’ve done some an amazing things and I’m excited to add ‘becoming a dancing genius’ to the list.

Meanwhile 2017 Strictly star Ruth Langsford was excited to reveal another one of the This Morning's presenters was joining the BBC series.
Doctor Ranj then told viewers he is thrilled to be taking to the dancefloor this autumn.
He revealed his was "shaking" as the announcement was finally made as he's been keeping his involvement secret since the spring.
