DURING her time on Coronation Street, Tina McIntyre was a popular character with an army of fans.

However, viewers were left shocked when she was brutally murdered on the Corrie cobbles in 2014.

Who killed Tina McIntyre on Coronation Street?

Tina McIntyre, played by Michelle Keegan, was murdered by Carla's brother Rob Donovan in 2014.

Rob was in a relationship with Tracy Barlow at the time.

He pushed Tina off a balcony in the Builder's Yard after she threatened to tell the police about their dodgy business dealings with Barlow's Buys.

After she survived the fall Rob beat her with a metal pole and she later died in hospital despite having surgery to reduce the swelling on her brain.

When did Tina McIntyre have an affair with Peter Barlow in Corrie?

Tina McIntyre embarked on an affair with Peter Barlow which began in 2013 - on the day he married Carla.

They shared a kiss after Carla passed out drunk and continued to see each other in secret.

Peter used the excuse that he was helping an alcoholic friend - the same line he fed to Leanne when he was cheating on her with Carla.

At one point they planned to run away together to Portsmouth but Peter backed out when he discovered that Carla was pregnant.

When Tina McIntyre first arrived in Coronation Street in 2008 she was dating David Platt.

She got pregnant and had an abortion without telling him, and the pair split after he got in trouble with the law.

Tina then dated Jason Grimshaw but they split when her dad Joe accidentally killed himself in an insurance scam.

After a brief relationship with Graeme Proctor, Tina dated Tommy Duckworth but they were tested when she became a surrogate for Gary Windass and Izzy Armstrong.

Speaking to about Coronation Street and her decision to leave, actress Michelle Keegan said: “It was just such a level of love when you walked into that place.

“It was the best job, the best people. It was a really hard decision to go. I could have stayed there my whole life.”

The actress - who has since gone on to star in top dramas like Netflix's Fool Me Once, added: “I feel very protective of it [Corrie] and very proud.

"It comes with a sense of warmth. I hear the music and I’m home.”
