Paddy and Christine McGuinness had cash stolen from their house ‘over a number of weeks’ police confirm
PADDY and Christine McGuinness had thousands of pounds worth of belongings taken from their home “over a period of weeks”, the police confirmed to The Sun Online.
In a statement they said they were not appealing for information from the public and said their enquiries were still on going.
On Wednesday, Christine and Paddy were pictured outside a police station where they reported the alleged theft.
Christine returned to the station today where she spent around three hours talking to officers.
Police told The Sun Online: “At 11.30am on Wednesday 22 August officers received reports of a theft from a property on Macclesfield Road, Prestbury. The victims reported that a number of items, including cash, have been taken from their home over a period of weeks.
“Enquiries in relation to the allegations are ongoing and officers are not appealing for information from the public.”
PC Steve Kaminski from Cheshire Police added: “I would like to reassure the community that this is believed to be an isolated incident which has no impact on local residents.”
Paddy, 44, looked grim-faced as he walked out of the station in Wilmslow on Wednesday with his wife Christine, 30, who hid her eyes behind dark sunglasses.
The couple walked back to their car together deep in conversation and Paddy managed to flash a smile despite the difficult circumstances.
A representative for Paddy had no comment when contacted by The Sun Online.
Located in rural Cheshire, the house is just a stone's throw from the former home of ex-Manchester United star Wayne Rooney.
The couple previously moved from Paddy's hometown of Bolton to escape pranksters who rang their doorbell at night.
Their current home boasts its own cinema, gym and sprawling garden.
They live in the lavish £2.1 million mansion in Cheshire with their three children.
Christine often stays at home with the couple's three kids, twins Penelope and Leo, five, who have autism, and Felicity, two.
However, the model recently admitted the Take Me Out star is regularly away for work and she wants him to stay at home with her more often.
Speaking on Loose Women, she said: "I want us to spend more time together, to do stuff together.
"I wish he would stay home more, or that I could go with him.
"But we are happier than ever, we have been putting the effort in.
"There have been times when he's left to go to work and I've waved him off and then I've gone back into the house and cried thinking I wish he would just stay in."
