Towie’s Gemma Collins is supporting James Argent as he heads back to rehab and admits it’s been an ‘incredibly difficult’ time
The reality star split from Arg in July of this year but will be helping him through the next couple of months as he undergoes rehab once again
GEMMA Collins has revealed she is supporting James Argent as he returns to rehab once again.
The Sun Online revealed today that Arg, 30, has made the decision to get professional help following his split from Gemma over the summer.
Now Gemma, 37, has admitted she’s had an “incredibly difficult” few months as her on/off relationship with her fellow Towie star crumbled, but she has vowed to support him through the difficult time.
Speaking ahead of the first episode of her new show Diva Espana, Gemma said: “It was incredibly raw, yes, it’s been an incredibly difficult summer.
“But, that said, you know, we’re back now in Essex and Arg is receiving help and you know, as long as he’s doing well, that’s great for him and for us. I’m just supporting him on his journey and I’m feeling pleased that the viewers get to see what goes on behind the cameras and I think it’s good for them to see that behind all the glamour there’s real ups and downs, even in celebrities’ lives.”
Gemma went on to reveal that it was tough to show such a different side of herself on her new show, but believes it’s important for people to see the real her.
She said: “It was really sort of scary to show the public that side of me because the public don’t really see that side of me.
“I guess it was just me going about my everyday life and all that that entails (laughs!) I know that is usually a rollercoaster! So I guess it made me feel a bit vulnerable as no one has seen that sort of side to me, totally uncovered, so it’s a bit scary to think what people are going to think because they’re used to the GC and all her craziness but they’re getting to see Gemma now so I don’t know what they’re going to think about her!”
While Arg appears in Diva Espana, he will be taking a break from Towie to focus on himself.
