Celebrity Big Brother viewers gobsmacked as Roxanne Pallett accuses Ryan Thomas of ‘punching her’
CELEBRITY Big Brother viewers were left gobsmacked after Roxanne Pallett accused Ryan Thomas of "punching her".
Fans of the show flocked to Twitter to express their disbelief over the dramatic events in tonight's show.
The pair appeared to be play fighting in tonight's show as Roxy was walking to the bedroom and Ryan, 34, seemed to catch her a little bit too hard.
She shouted: "Ow that bloody hurt" before calling him a "woman beater".
The former Emmerdale star, 35, told producers to remove Ryan from the house after the incident.
She went to the diary room and accused him of "punching" her and told CBB: "A boy who's punched me repeatedly, deliberately... he punched me like a boxer punches a bag.
"There was no banter, it wasn't a joke...
"I can't believe you're letting him stay".
She later went back to the diary room and asked to sleep in a separate bedroom because she didn't feel comfortable around Ryan.
Ryan was given a formal warning, and fans were left bewildered by what happened.
Many flocked to Twitter to defend the former Corrie star.
One wrote: "What's going on with Roxanne? How bizarre, Ryan hasn't done anything wrong. I watched it back 5 times and still can't see the malice. Shame on you. #CBB."
Another tweeted: "#cbb why are you letting Roxanne get away with those allegations .. disgraceful #attentionseeking."
A third wrote: "I actually can't breathe at Roxanne, you have to be absolutely silly to not know that Ryan was only joking."
After the incident, Ryan was called into the diary room where he was given a formal warning about "unacceptable behaviour".
Big Brother said: "We are issuing you with a formal warning, if repeated, we will have no choice but to remove you from the house."
The actor accepted his warning and insisted: "I think Roxanne knows there was not malice or anger."
He has also been defended by a number of his celebrity friends, including his younger brother Scott.
Scott wrote on Twitter: "I have now seen it all! Women like that are so dangerous! Trying to damage my brothers reputation over what was blatantly some harmless play fighting.
"Be a drama queen all you want but don't try and ruin someone in the process! Nasty that!"
He added: "I actually don't think it's fair that she even stays in the house after this...i'm in complete and utter shock. She's clearly unwell I'm sorry."

He wasn't alone in his thoughts, as Ryan's girlfriend Lucy retweeted dozens of comments supporting Ryan.
She then tweeted: "Please RT or like if u want Roxanne removed. I don't think she is mentally fit to be in the house. #cbb #getroxyout."
And Nicola McLean branded Roxanne "disgusting"; in a furious rant on Celebrity Big Brother's Bit on the Side.
Nicola told host Rylan Clark-Neal: "She's seen it as a storyline and that's what I'm disgusted by, disgusted.
"I'm absolutely furious because do you know what? In the light of MeToo and that, every woman is campaigning for domestic violence - and men - how dare she go and do that? How dare she?!
"When this guy has been nothing but brilliant for the whole show, and she's doing this for a storyline and I don't give a s*** what anyone says, I know Roxanne, I've worked with her before and I liked her before this but f*** off it's disgusting."
