CANDICE Brown has revealed that she was left in tears over cruel comments on her recent bikini pictures.
The 33-year-old was snapped during her hen do in Las Vegas last month and despite looking amazing, she found herself the victim of horrible online abuse.
Speaking about the comments she received during an appearance on Lorriane today, the Bake Off star struggled to hold back tears as she revealed she feared she would no longer fit into her wedding dress because of the nasty remarks about her figure.
She said: “I put my wedding dress on and I burst into tears. I was terrified I wasn’t going to fit into it and it’s fine.
“But also what precedent are we setting for young girls and young boys? I get married in two and half weeks, I am fine the way I am. Everyone is fine the way they are.”
She continued: “Who are these people to say that’s not right, you should be, you should be that, Instagram isn’t real life. Real life is that. Real life is wobbly bits and stretch marks.
“I love cake, I love baking, it’s going to happen. I have an incredible fiancé, incredible friends and family but I am also human. I am annoyed at myself that it got to me. On the other side of that. I am OK now.”
The comments she received included ones that read: “Her figure is horrible, I would go to the gym if I was her.”
Another said: “Clearly you should lose weight for your wedding, you should put down the cakes.”
While someone else wrote: “As vile on the inside as she is on the outside.”
She said to Lorraine: “How do they know I am vile on the inside? Because that is one thing I am not.”
Candice also revealed she had been accused of being pregnant after posting another picture of her with a good friend.
She said: “I’m having to justify myself not being pregnant. Because I didn’t breathe in? They don’t know what has happened in my private life, our private life, I don’t know when it ever became OK for someone or anybody to say publicly ‘are you pregnant, you should be ashamed of yourself, you’re drinking when you’re pregnant.’ No, I’d just had a milkshake and quite a big burger.”
Candice will be tying the knot with long-term boyfriend Liam Macaulay in just a few weeks time.
Paul Hollywood, Mary Berry and her Bake Off co-stars have all been invited.
