MasterChef’s Gregg Wallace reveals he’s moved his mother-in-law in to his home with wife Anne-Marie
GREGG Wallace has moved his mother-in-law into his home.
The MasterChef star, 53, joked that the move is insurance against his 32-year-old wife Ann-Marie leaving him.
Rina Sterpini, 57, is just four years older than him, and Gregg told newspaper: “Anne can’t leave me because mum would have to leave as well.
“For an insecure old man with a younger woman, that’s good news.”
Anne-Marie's mum helps her to carry out household chores, and her former greengrocer husband admitted that neither of the women have jobs.
He added: “Anne-Marie, by her choice, doesn’t work.
"They’re funny these southern Italians, very old-fashioned. Baby.
“They take their roles very seriously.”
The trio live in Whitstable, Kent, and Rina won't feel like a third wheel for long because Greg predicts that they'll be joined by Rina's husband before too long.
He added: “It’s made a family home for them now Anne and her mum are here all the time."
Gregg and Ann-Marie are going to start fertility treatment so they can have a baby too.
He said: "When you fall in love with a younger woman you’ve got to realise they are going to want a family.
“The game of love is a lottery. I got very lucky this time.”
