ANTONY Amourdoux has become the third baker to leave the Great British Bake Off tent.
The 29-year-old failed to rise to the challenge of Bread Week and left judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith underwhelmed with his Chelsea buns and yeast-free naan breads.
For his Korovai, Antony hoped to impress with his Chocolate and Orange creation in tribute to his brother's wedding in the Himalayas, but sadly it wasn't to be.
Paul said of Antony's Chelsea buns: "The structure is good but the outside is tough" while Prue said they were "dry."
For the technical, the bakers had to make a batch of yeast-free naans, and Antony - who grew up in India - cried: "Indian food has never stressed me so much!"
During the judging, Paul said of his batch: "This one is raw, that one is black...and abit thick as well."
He ended up finishing eighth out of ten.
They then moved on to their five hour showstopping bread challenge to make a tiered Korovai.
But after failing to allow himself enough time to bake it, the judges said it was "a bit heavy" and surprisingly, "overbaked".
But following his departure, Antony admitted bread was not his strongest suit.
He said: "Bread has never been my strongest baking strength.

"The first bread that I baked was only this January, so I am a relative newcomer to it.
"I went into that tent pretty nervous knowing this, and without enough practice.
"So I was fully aware this could be the week that I was going to go.
“The region I am from in India we make rotis, which are simple flat breads, and not naan breads.
"So where I am from nobody would make naan bread, so it was all new to me."
