GREAT British Bake Off viewers went wild for contestant Rahul after he apologised for making Chelsea buns that were "baked to perfection" during last night's show.
Rahul blew the judges away with his Bread Week bake but left viewers in stitches when he constantly told a very complimentary Paul Hollywood he was "sorry".
The bashful research scientist cooked up a batch of spiced buns that straight-talking Paul deemed both "clever" and "stunning" - but it seemed that wasn't enough to rid Rahul of his nervous disposition.
After apologising profusely for adding "too much fruit on top", judge Prue Leith gushed: "It pulls apart lovely. It's very soft and gooey which is the way a Chelsea bun should be."
Paul then raved: "It's baked to perfection. I think the mango chutney is stunning. Very clever Rahul, that's a very good Chelsea bun."
A sheepish Rahul then looked down at the floor and said, "Thanks," before being comforted by host Noel Fielding.
"You don't need to apologise," the TV presenter enthused as he gave the baker a pat on the arm.
Outside the tent, Rahul then gave an adorable rant, telling the camera: "It's just me being me.
"I just feel so scared all the time that I just say sorry to them but it went OK, I guess."
The moment sent viewers wild on Twitter, with many branding Rahul "adorable", while others expressed hopes of giving him a hug.
