Toni Collette ‘outraged cast and crew on set of BBC1 drama Wanderlust with her diva-like antics’
Insiders claim the Aussie actress, 45, was rude to production staff and her PA who she shouted at for getting her the wrong brand of organic vinegar
WANDERLUST star Toni Collette outraged cast and crew on the set of the steamy BBC drama with her diva-like behaviour.
It’s been claimed the Hollywood actress, 45, was rude to production staff and her PA, who she shouted at for getting her the wrong brand of organic vinegar.
A show insider said: “Toni is a star - but difficult to work with to say the least.
“She was rude to staff, belittled people, and acted like she ruled the roost.
“She would have heated disagreements with directors and even shouted at her PA in front of everyone because she bought the wrong brand of organic vinegar for her.”
The source revealed members on set would joke about “what Toni” would turn up that day, adding: “Crew would make jokes about what Toni would be in work, what mood we were going to get that day.
“When the cameras roll, she’s a pro. But once they stopped she was unpredictable. Ok some days, moody the next.”
“You expect a level of drama with lead characters and Hollywood types, but she was just a whole new level.”
The actress also allegedly would make fun of the set and compare it, unfavourably, to Hollywood movies she had starred in.
The Aussie filmed the hit BBC series in Manchester from October last year through to February.
The steamy drama, slated to be the BBC’s most X rated drama, had romping and two scenes featuring masturbation in the first seven minutes of the six-part series.
Collette plays sexually frustrated therapist Joy Richards - who goes on a bonking spree in an attempt to spice up her marriage.
