GREAT British Bake Off contestants were relieved tonight as no one left the show after Terry was absent through illness.
Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith felt it wouldn't be fair for someone to go home without the full line-up in the tent.
However, it means two people could potentially leave next week.
There was still a star baker though, with a delighted Dan taking the title.
Host Noel Fielding broke the good news to the contestants at the end of the programme.
He said: "The person who is going home this week is nobody. The judges felt it wouldn't be fair to send someone home with Terry not being here.
"But the downside to that means that next week there is a strong possibility two people might be going home."
The comedian followed up by joking: "And on that note, it feels weird sending no one home so I'm gonna go. See you later guys."
It is not the first time the TV baking competition has seen a week where none of the contestants have left.
During the third series, before the show had switched to Channel 4 from the BBC, eventual champion John Whaite was unable to continue filming after cutting his finger, meaning no one went home.
It happened again during the fifth series when Diana Beard withdrew from the competition due to ill health.
Tonight's melting chocolate ball dessert showstopper proved one of the toughest to date.
Each of the contestants have baked their way into the hearts of the nation already, and viewers were smiling again when Rahul complained balloons kept popping in his face as he tried to make his chocolate sphere.
Kim Joy's quirky creativity also had viewers talking when she explained she was going to incorporate space turtles into her design - a nod to Terry Pratchett's disc world novels.
Her reveal received a round of applause with Paul describing the design as "flawless".
Chuffed, she said the feedback was the best she'd ever received.
Dan's good week began after he was given a coveted handshake from Hollywood for lime curd-infused roulade.
He went on to win the technical challenge with Leith describing his blancmange as the most delicious.
His showstopper, a peach and hazelnut layered mousse cake, was inspired by his daughter's favourite book, James And The Giant Peach by Roald Dahl.
Ruby's dessert didn't go to plan, with Prue asking her if she understood what a sphere was.
John's showstopper arrived at the table wearing a pink tutu, terrifying the judges. However, it definitely tasted better than it looked.
Viewers couldn't believe the difficulty involved, writing on Twitter: "This challenge is madness #GBBO I’m an okay baker but this is insane 😮.
"This is a hell of a challenge for the showstopper #gbbo."
