GREAT British Bake Off viewers have complained an editing glitch "ruined" the end of last night's show.
Fans claim they were shown a clip of the bakers being told the results of Dessert Week during the Showstopper judging.
It happened after research scientist Rahul Mandal broke down when he was praised by judge Paul Hollywood.
As he was led away by host Sandi Toksvig, viewers at home were shown a snapshot of the bakers sat in a row for judging.
The spoiler clip then show Rahul getting up from his chair, making fans believe he had been awarded Star Baker.
One viewer asked: "What an earth just happened with that bake off glitch?! #GBBO Just ruined the ending."
Another commented: "Anyone else notice the editing error in this week's #GBBO?
"There was a tiny glitch halfway through, where we suddenly flicked to the end of the episode where they were all sat on their seats (looking happy)...then flicked back again. Gave away the happy ending!"
Someone else wondered: "Anyone else notice the glitch/edit? Hmmmm, can’t blame Pru for this one #GBBO."
It turned out the bakers were beaming from ear to ear because they had just been told no one would be leaving the tent.
Paul and and Prue Leith felt it was unfair to send someone home because retired air steward Terry had been absent through illness.
The show caused controversy last year when Prue accidentally spoiled the result of the final 12 hours before it had aired.
The judge congratulated the winner while on holiday in Bhutan, blaming the time difference for the reason she "f***ed up".
