Hollyoaks’ Ashley Taylor Dawson warns fans over ‘upsetting’ scenes after Nancy finds out about Darren’s affair with Mandy

HOLLYOAKS' star Ashley Taylor Dawson has warned fans to prepare themselves as Darren Osborne's steamy affair with Mandy Richardson is exposed.
Dawson plays loverat Darren in the Channel 4 soap and revealed that the scenes where Nancy finds out about her husband's affair are "upsetting".
Viewers have been gripped by Darren and Mandy's shock love affair, with the new Hollyoaks' trailer teasing that the heartbreaking betrayal will be exposed in a predictably explosive way.
Speaking out on his character's relationship with Mandy, Ashley insisted that the affair was not "malicious".
The 36-year-old actor said: "He had been confiding in Mandy about his relationship, that’s where it all stemmed from.
"He does the right things but the wrong way round."
Speaking about the devastating upcoming scenes, he added: "Darren has been with Nancy six, seven years so to finally have this bombshell exposed is heartbreaking, it really is.
"It’s heartbreaking to play because genuinely you feel it... it’s very upsetting scenes."
He also confessed that his "heart will always be" with Nancy and Darren as the fictional couple have a family together.
He told OK! Online: "At the end of the day, he’s got a family.
"He’s with Nancy, they’ve got children involved and I think that’s the root."
Jessica Fox, who plays Darren's wife Nancy, previously revealed that her character will "rip Darren Osborne's life apart" when she discovers that he has cheated on her.
The actress has been inundated with messages of support for her alter ego on social media, with Hollyoaks' fans left devastated by Darren's infidelity.
One saddened viewer tweeted: "I’m genuinely so angry at Darren!!
"I mean, I know it’s a soap but Nancy and Darren are meant to be!!!!! Can’t wait to see her slap Mandy!!!!"
