Strictly’s AJ Pritchard reveals ‘terrifying’ Celebrity MasterChef made him a ‘better teacher’ as he leaves show with Zoe Lyons

The final four have now been revealed as Spencer Matthews, Stef Reid, John Partridge and Martin Bayfield

STRICTLY Come Dancing star AJ Pritchard revealed taking part in Celebrity MasterChef made him a better dance teacher.

The 23-year-old dancer left the show in the semi finals round this evening alongside comedian Zoe Lyons.

AJ was eliminated from the show after his pie failed to impress

Speaking to The Sun Online after his exit, AJ said the process had been terrifying but admitted he’d learnt a lot.

AJ explained: “I loved being a part of Celebrity MasterChef. The process was scary and I was so out of my comfort zone but I’ve learnt so much.

“Doing something I’d never done before put me in the position of the celebs on Strictly and because of that experience, I think i’ll be a better teacher because of it.

“The worst bit of the experience was serving up under-cooked scallops to Gregg and John!

The other contestants wished him well as he left

AJ admitted he was terrified during competing on the show

“When they walk around you never know what they’re thinking, it’s so nerve wracking.

“But when I served up that dish, they just looked at me and I knew it was bad! I absolutely loved it though, it was an amazing experience.”

Strictly’s AJ was eliminated earlier in the episode after his pie failed to impress the judges.

The judges announced his exit, telling the celebrities: “Sadly we do have to say goodbye to one of you and the person leaving us is AJ.”

AJ thanked the judges for the experiences and wished his fellow contestants good luck before leaving.

He said: “I’m upset but I’ve loved every dish, every meal, every stage of it. It’s been fantastic.

“Sad to go home but that’s the way it is.”

Later in the episode comedian Zoe Lyons was eliminated after her emotional meal, two soups in honour of comedy icon Victoria Wood’s famous sketch, failed to impress with it being just two soups on a tray.

The final four have now been revealed as Spencer Matthews, Stef Reid, John Partridge and Martin Bayfield.
