JIM Carrey stripped off for a steamy romp in a hospital bed in his new TV series Kidding.

The funnyman got saucy for the explicit sex scene in his latest telly project.

In the X-rated clip, Jim,56, mounts his co-star Ginger Gonzaga as she opens her mouth in pleasure.

The role is a real departure from the more light-hearted characters that fans are used to seeing the Canadian comic play.

And the sexy scene marks The Mask actor's first explicit romp on screen throughout his almost 40-year long career.

In the new show Jim plays Jeff Piccirillo, a kids' TV presenter who goes by the name of Mr. Pickles.

But away from his day-job his character is experiencing family hardship and grieving the death of one of his sons.

The steamy romp in question happens when Jeff ends up bedding a cancer patient on a visit to a hospital.

In the new Showtime series, Jim is joined by an all-star cast including Frank Langella, Judy Greer and Catherine Keener.

And Arrested Development star Jason Bateman has stepped behind the camera to direct the new show.

Meanwhile, earlier this year Jim implored Facebook users to delete their accounts.

The 56-year-old told his Twitter followers that he believed the social network "profited from Russian interference" in the 2016 US election.

The actor also revealed he was selling his Facebook shares and urged others to do the same.

Carrey, 56, wrote: "I'm dumping my @facebook stock and deleting my page because

"@facebook profited from Russian interference in our elections and they're still not doing enough to stop it.

At the time he posted a picture of a drawing with a depiction of Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg next to a thumbs-down logo and the word "Fakebook".
