Mark Wright to host new The Bachelor UK series in South Africa – forcing him to spend more time away from Michelle Keegan
MARK Wright will present a brand new series of The Bachelor on Channel 5 and is preparing to shoot the dating show in South Africa.
The Extra host, 31, has been given time off by his US bosses to front the programme – but the full on filming schedule means he’ll be spending even more time away from wife Michelle Keegan.
Former Towie star Mark moved to Los Angeles after landing his dream job on entertainment show Extra.
He tweeted in February about feeling homesick and longing for a nice cup of tea, game of football and even the bad weather.
But now he’ll be spending even more time away from the UK and wife Michelle as he fronts the dating series in South Africa.
A TV source said: “Mark has already had an incredibly busy year presenting on Extra.
“Now he’s getting ready to jet off again to front another show which is an amazing opportunity – but it means more time out of the country and being apart from Michelle.
“He’s really excited to get stuck in with the show though and looking forward to lending his professional dating expertise.”
The show was last on screens in 2012 when reality star Spencer Matthews featured as The Bachelor.
