When is The Haunting of Hill House released on Netflix?
The Haunting Of Hill House premiered on Netflix Friday October 12, 2018.
The 10-episode show follows Shirley Jackson's story of the Crain children as adults who grew up in the Haunted Hill House mansion.
It is the latest reimagining of the classic horror novel, first adapted in the 1963 film The Haunting, before being rebooted for the 1999 Hollywood flick Liam Neeson and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
Netflix's latest offering seems to be the pick of the bunch, however, achieving a perfect 100 per cent fresh score on the popular American review website Rotten Tomatoes before release.
Since it's been released fans have claimed the show is so scary that it's causing them to pass out, vomit and suffer insomnia.
Who's in the cast of The Haunting Of Hill House?
ET's Henry Thomas stars alongside Spy Kids actress Carla Gugino as Hugh and Olivia Crain, the parents to five children who all live in the Hill House mansion.
Academy Award winner Timothy Hutton will play the older version of Hugh in the present day while Kate Siegel has been cast as therapist Theodora Crain.
The cast is rounded off by Michiel Huisman as Steven Crain, Oliver Jackson-Cohen as Luke Crain and Victoria Pedretti plays Nell Crain.
The series was created by Gerald's Game director Mike Flanagan.
