But she did reveal that it could be sooner than we think as they've already finished the writing process.

She said: "We’ve finished. I started writing for her the end of last year

"And we spent predominantly the first seven months doing it together, but we are done."

The only confirmed information about Cheryl's new music is that her first song is called Love Made Me Do It.

The first release is said to be an 'edgy dance track with a swear or three.'

But the album name is yet to be revealed.

And loyal friend Nic has remained tight-lipped on the general tone of the album - refusing to confirm whether it will be flooded with break-up ballads off the back of Cherly's split from the One Direction star.

Not giving much away, she said: "It’s a thing for her to talk about, and it’s something I’m sure she’ll explain in due course."

Things seem to be looking up for Nicola who revealed in July that she was "too scared to walk her dogs" because of her stalker ex.

The Girls Aloud star hit out at the CPS after the prosecution of her obsessed former boyfriend, ex soldier Carl Davies, was dropped.

Carl was slapped with a lifetime restraining order last year and is banned from looking at the singer's social media posts.

Nicola said the CPS had later admitted their decision was wrong and claims prosecutors had thought the case was "trivial" because the harassment was taking place online.

She also says Carl had ignored the social media ban and has started following her again on Instagram.
