Brian McFadden confirms he is the fourth celebrity to sign up for Dancing on Ice during appearance on Lorraine
BRIAN McFadden has confirmed he is the latest celebrity to sign up to Dancing on Ice.
The 38-year-old ex-Westlife star appeared on ITV's Lorraine via video link to share the news, after The Sun Online revealed he signed on the dotted line last week.
The Sun's Dan Wootton revealed the news to Lorraine Kelly before Kerry Katona's ex husband said: "Hi Lorraine. Well yes the news is true. I am going to be doing Dancing On Ice 2018.
"I'm very excited, I've already been practising outside in the garden on me roller blades.
"Me mammy says I am a one man Torvill and Dean! Watch this space."
Brian's announcement came shortly after James Jordan was revealed as the third celebrity to join the next series.
The former Strictly pro will swap his dancing shoes for a pair of skates as he joins stars including Richard Blackwood and Gemma Collins on the ice.
Towie star Gemma signed last week after her successful stint on Celebrity Masterchef.
Whilst Richard signed up after his shock departure from EastEnders.
However, the full line-up for the 2019 series is yet to be revealed. But Katie Price is believed to be desperate to join the show as she faces financial issues.
“Katie’s well aware she has cash flow problems so has been calling ITV bosses in the hope of getting signed to a new show,” insiders told The Sun Online.
“Last year, she auditioned for Dancing On Ice and it got down to final talks but they couldn’t come up with the fee she wanted to take part."
Just weeks ago The Sun revealed Love Island's Wes Nelson was being lined up for the next series after he impressed on the hit ITV2 show with Megan Barton Hanson.
Meanwhile, Brian's news comes after he was left out of a Westlife reunion by his former bandmates who have signed a new contract with Universal.
Brian - who was also married to Vogue Williams - has toured the UK and Ireland with Keith Duffy in a manband mash-up group called Boyzlife.
But he wasn't invited to join the group who are returning to the studio to record some new songs, The Sun revealed. The quartet are also planning to go on tour.
