TV presenter Eamonn Holmes is being chased by HMRC for ‘millions’ in unpaid taxes
The This Morning presenter says if he loses then Ant and Dec will be targeted next as HMRC have 'reinvented the rules'.
EAMONN Holmes is locked in a legal fight with tax chiefs who say he owes 'millions' from the past seven years, it was revealed last night.
HM Revenue & Customs is challenging his freelance pay from ITV, which he gets through his own limited company.
The This Morning host — who is thought to get £700,000 for TV work — says if he loses, Ant and Dec and other ITV stars will be targeted next.
BBC celebs whose salaries are paid in the same way have already been targeted by HMRC, which says they are employees.
It is demanding that presenters pay up to 45 per cent tax instead of the 19 per cent corporation tax they now pay.
Eamonn told The Mail On Sunday: “They’ve reinvented the rules.

"I am the test case. If they win against me they will go after everyone else, everyone. Ant and Dec will be next.
"The country is broke and they are coming to get us. I was in court in Central London for a week in June. I've been freelance for 28 years and that's been okay. Now they've said it's not okay."
Eamonn's company Red, White And Green Ltd. had close to £3.1million is cash in the latest set of available records, from April last year.
The star reportedly rakes in £700k a year from presenting jobs, while his wife Ruth also commands high fees.
