Emmerdale spoilers: A donor heart is found for Sarah Sugden but the schoolgirl is overcome with fear
The youngster is terrified when a new donor heart becomes available
SARAH Sugden receives the news that a new donor heart has been found for her in Emmerdale next week, but the poorly schoolgirl is panicked when she finds out.
She’s been scared of having the operation, worried that it might go wrong and with the events of the past week playing on her mind, it’s no wonder she’s worried about the future.
Her mum Debbie Dingle, Charley Webb, arrives at the hospital and tries to comfort her terrified daughter as she’s wheeled down to theatre for the potentially life-saving operation.
But as Sarah, Katie Hill, goes in for surgery, Debbie breaks down, scared by the thought that she might never see her daughter again.
Later Faith and Charity Dingle are left worried when the doctor is unable to give them a definitive answer about Sarah’s condition following the operation.
Will it be a success? Or will Sarah’s body reject the donor heart causing even more devastation for the Dingles?

Fans of the ITV soap know that 13-year-old Sarah has been in hospital for months waiting for a heart transplant since being diagnosed with heart failure earlier this year.
Sarah – who is the daughter of Debbie and her ex-partner Andy Sugden – has only recently decided to go through with the operation after previously telling her heart-broken mum that she didn’t want a transplant even if a donor heart became available.
Luckily her grandmother Faith – played by Sally Dexter – stepped in and took Sarah on an adventure to show her that life is worth living and she must grab every chance she has.
