What is the Amy Winehouse hologram tour, who will be on stage with the image and what did her dad Mitch say about it?
AMY Winehouse fans will be happy to hear that their favourite singer is making a return to the stage.
Here's everything you need to know about her holographic tour and what her dad has said about it.
What is the Amy Winehouse hologram tour?
Amy Winehouse's hologram tour will see a digital replica of the deceased star perform her hit songs.
The tour is a joint project between BASE Hologram and the Amy Winehouse Foundation, which raises money to prevent alcohol and drug abuse.
This follows the holographic performance Tupac's digital twin put on at Coachella in 2012.
Other artists that have made a holographic return to the stage following their passing include Whitney Houston and Biggie Smalls.
Who will be on stage with the image?
The main star on the stage will be the likeness of Amy in digital form.
Joining her on the stage will be a live band and singers.
The holographic singer will perform Amy's biggest hits including Back to Black, Rehab and Valerie.
This will be achieved by digitally remastering the songs.
What did her dad Mitch say about it?
Amy's father Mitch Winehouse was the one to announce the news during the Amy Winehouse Foundation's gala at London's Dorchester Hotel.
He said: "As a family, we felt ready to bring Amy’s incredible talent back to the spotlight, give her fans a chance to experience her music again and for new generations to continue to discover her.
“We experienced first-hand how these hologram shows celebrate great artists.
“This is a wonderful way to bring focus back to her musical legacy, as well as raising funds for the Amy Winehouse Foundation. All of the money that we get — the Winehouse family — will go to the Amy Winehouse Foundation, 100 per cent. It’s an incredible way to give Amy’s fans what they want.
“We are excited but at the same time it’s going to be tough for the family.”
