Loose Women fans rejoice as ‘legends’ Carol McGiffin and Denise Welch return to the show together for the first time in five years

LOOSE Women fans were delighted as Carol McGiffin and Denise Welch returned to the show together for the first time in five years.

The presenters have both appeared on the show separately, but today sat side by side on the panel and reminisced about the past.

Speaking about how she had changed Denise said: “I don’t drink anymore. I have given up my compulsive flashing disorder. I used to find it hilariously funny.”

Their appearance went down very well with fans who rushed to Twitter to discuss it.

One person wrote:  “When you hear #CarolandDenise are back on the panel together @loosewomen and your reaction is amazing with tears of joy @McGiff @RealDeniseWelch #LooseWomen.”

Another tweeted: “Yay glad Denise and Carol are back on @loosewomen  #LooseWomen @RealDeniseWelch  @McGiff.”

And someone else wrote: “The 2 legends of @loosewomen are back on the panel for the first since 2013 and I am all here for this #LooseWomen.”

Last year Denise and Carol hit out at the show after they weren’t involved in the 18th anniversary special.

Denise, who was on the show for eight years, said: “It was time for me to leave 4 yrs ago but sad to have been airbrushed when you share your life for 10 years.”

While Carol replied to a fan asking if she would be on it, saying: “Don’t be daft Aaron, I only did 13 years and over 1,000 shows, why would I even be asked???!!!”

Speaking about her return earlier this year, Denise said: ";The time was right for us to leave, the ones who did five years ago," she began. "So much has changed and it was the right time to go back.

"It feels great. I have a lot to say, and some of the things I can regurgitate and people think I've never said them!"
