Joanne Beckham’s reality star ex Kris Donnelly begs to see baby daughter Peggy after couple split
Kris took to Instagram to post a heart-wrenching message after the news
THE EX-boyfriend of David Beckham's sister Joanne has begged to see their baby daughter amid their shock family split.
Former hairdresser Joanne called time on her relationship with reality TV veteran Kris Donnelly, 33, with friends saying the pair are “barely speaking” and are living separately.
Kris took to Instagram to post a heart-wrenching message after the news.
He posted a picture of him cradling little Peggy with the caption: "I won’t stop until I get hold of you like this again.
"They can take you away from me but they can’t take away the special memories we made or stand in the way of us making more."
He added, cryptically, "Stayed quiet too long on this now!" and added the hashtag FathersForJustice.
The post was shared hundreds of times online.
Former Big Brother housemate Kris told fans: "'It is heartbreaking and it is a sensitive subject because of who the family is.
"But I just want to see my daughter."
When asked how long it had been since he saw his daughter, he replied: "I’m sorry I can’t say anymore."
The revelations come two weeks after Joanne’s real big brother David and sister-in-law Victoria were forced to deny they were filing for divorce amid a flurry of rumours online.
A friend told us: “Joanne and Kris have had a really tough few months.
"Looking after a newborn knocked them for six, and dealing with the constant exhaustion and worry put a huge strain on their relationship.
“They were bickering more and more, and in the end decided to call it quits for the sake of their child.
"They have now unfollowed each other on social media and are focusing on being the best solo parents they can possibly be.”
The couple’s daughter Peggy, was born in December, less than a year after they started dating, and Joanne gushed on her Instagram account about “love of her life” Kris, who previously dated Hollyoaks actress Jorgie Porter, and praised him for his support during the birth.
News of the split is understood to have upset David, who is a good pal of the 2009 Big Brother housemate and even gave him clothes from one of his collaborations.
The ex-England captain visited Peggy days after her birth and posted a photo of himself cradling the newborn, with the caption: “Welcome to the world little Peggy.
"So proud of my little sis and congrats @krissydonners #Daddy. Such a beautiful family #proud Uncle @joannebeckham.”
A source added: “David is obviously making sure he is there for his sister and supporting her.
"But he’s sad that they have split as he thought they were well matched.
“He had formed a close bond with Kris and made a big effort to welcome him into the family.”
At least Victoria can offer Joanne a fashionable shoulder to cry on.
