Liam Payne transforms £5m mansion into lad pad after split with Cheryl – with football pitch, snooker room and astronaut on the drive
LIAM Payne has applied for new planning permission to turn his huge Surrey mansion into a bachelor pad.
The 25-year-old had previously asked for approval on a number of renovations while with Cheryl, 35, but since their split his plans have dramatically changed.
During his time with Cheryl, the mum of his son Bear, the pair had unsuccessfully asked for approval on a number of renovations to turn it into a family home, complete with a granny flat reportedly for her mother Joan.
But Woking Borough Council repeatedly blocked their efforts and now Liam, who bought the property for £5.1 in January 2015, has reverted back to his original idea of turning the property into a macho crib.
The new plans, which were submitted last month, would see a two-story extension built on the side of the house.
On the ground floor, there will be an indoor pool house and sauna and in the basement, a fitness suite and games area.

The former One Direction singer already has planning permission from 2017 to turn a garage space into a massive snooker room.
For any mates staying, he also had approval to convert another garage so that it had an en-suite bedroom on the first floor.
To complete the bachelor crib, Liam’s already converted the tennis courts into a football pitch.
There’s also an astronaut placed on the driveway, which is the first thing guests will see, after Liam did a video with One Direction at NASA Space Centre in Houston.
Liam is no longer asking the council to build another garage complete with living space, which would have been linked to the main house by a passageway.
When they unsuccessfully applied for planning permission in September 2017 it was rumoured that the proposed living quarters were for Cheryl’s mum Joan, who helps to look after their 19-month-old son, Bear.
Liam is now reverting back to the original application from three years ago, which was approved by the council, but is due to expire on 30 October 2018, so he needs to reapply.
Cheryl moved out of Liam's home last month and was reportedly looking for a place of her own in north London.
