Liam Payne says he’s closer to his family after split with Cheryl and thanks fans for supporting him
LIAM Payne has admitted that he feels closer to his family since his split with Cheryl.
The singer took to Twitter to make the sweet revelation to his fans.
Liam ,25, didn't hold back in his tweet to his 32.7 million followers.
In quite the indictment on his ex Cheryl ,35, he told his fans:
"Time to rise above the negativity I love positive people on Twitter.
"I’ve actually never felt closer to my family, friends and fans as I have the past few months with me whatever I’m going through."
He added: "I hope I do the same for you."
And his doting fans were quick to reply with words of praise and encouragement.
One wrote: "I've never wanted happiness for someone as bad as I want for you love you so much."
While another wrote: "You are really a brilliant person, we are proud of everything you have done.
"Your positivity and kindness are important, and we are here always for you."
Fans didn't rein in the sentimentality, one even went so far as to write:
"You mean so much to us and helped all of us when we’re struggling.
"You’re an inspiration to everyone and I hope you get all the love that your kind self deserves. We love you Liam."
The tweet comes just days after reports that Liam and his baby-mumma are being "kept apart by X Factor bosses" as they're both "booked to sing break-up songs."
The bigwigs behind the singing competition are keen to have both stars perform but making plans to ensure that they don’t cross paths.
It’s said Liam and Cheryl, who have a young son, Bear, won’t be performing on the same day to avoid any awkward run ins.
Cheryl is expected to perform her new single, Love Made Me Do It, while Liam will likely sing his smash hit collab with Jonas Blue Polaroid.
A source told "Cheryl is relaunching her music career on the show, and Liam will be trying to get a top hit after his last record, First Time, flopped."
"It will be interesting to see how they both do when given the same platform.
"Both have written about the breakdown of their relationship in their new music, so they could end up singing about their break-ups on the same stage."
