APPRENTICE winner James White has been carpeted by Lord Alan Sugar for a second time.
The 26-year-old, joint-first in last year’s series, set up a company without telling his TV mentor.
That broke rules he signed when he accepted the tycoon’s £250,000 investment in his recruitment firm, Right Time.
Lord Sugar summoned White to a meeting and had his experts scour the books of JMJ Selection. White had set up the new business with a pal and registered it at his rented home in Harborne, Birmingham.
He would have lost his funding if Lord Sugar’s investigatorshad found it was taking business from Right Time.
But he accepted that White had just been “stupid, daft and naive” in trying to help out a friend.
