Coronation Street's Sinead Tinker is facing the toughest decision of her life

While she’s there her new husband Daniel Osbourne – Rob Mallard -realises that something is seriously wrong and is horrified when dad Ken Barlow breaks the news to him that Sinead has stage three cervical cancer.

Daniel is even more horrified when he finds out that Sinead has refused to have treatment because it would mean losing their baby.

He pleads with her to do whatever it takes to increase her survival chances but Sinead won’t be moved over her decision that the baby’s life comes before hers, leaving Daniel devastated.

Later, having passed the first trimester Sinead agrees to have mild chemotherapy which won’t harm her unborn child.

When Daniel takes her home later, she’s clearly weak from the chemo.

And when the hospital call her to make an appointment for her next round of treatment, Sinead tells them she can’t make it and says she’ll be in touch.

Unaware that she’s refused treatment, Daniel reassures Sinead that everything is going to be alright.
