The Spice Girls will speak for the first time as a band about reunion tour on Jonathan Ross Show – and reveal why Victoria Beckham won’t be joining them
THE Spice Girls will discuss their reunion together for the first time on The Jonathan Ross Show this weekend.
The iconic girl group confirmed they were going on tour without bandmate Victoria Beckham yesterday, and are set to spill the beans on why she isn't joining them.
Geri Horner, Emma Bunton, Melanie Brown and Melanie Chisholm sent fans wild last night when they confirmed they would be hitting the stage in 2019 - six years after their last concert at London 2012.
They have only shared the announcement video on their social media pages so far, as they are going to discuss the new string of concerts on the ITV chat show this week.
Jonathan, 57, said of the exciting appearance: "I’m super excited to have the Spice Girls on the show this week. I’ve been a great fan since their first single Wannabe in 1996.
"I’ve met them all over the years, but it’s a real treat to be able to welcome them back together as a band.”
However, the foursome are also expected to reveal why Victoria, 44, has not signed up to the tour, despite its undoubted success.
Mel B said hopeful her pal will be persuaded to join them last minute on Loose Women today, telling the panel: "I think it would be a shame if she didn’t.
"She’s got a full on life with her commitments and the fashion line and her kids so she’s not committing just yet. But I’m hoping it’ll change."
Although she said no to the reunion herself, the designer still congratulated her friends on the exciting news this morning.
She wrote on Instagram: "Being in the Spice Girls was a hugely important part of my life and I wish my girls so much love and fun as they go back on tour.
"I know they will put on an amazing show and the fantastic fans past and present are going to have a wonderful time!"
Earlier today it was revealed that Victoria will earn millions from the reunion tour despite her absence, as she still owns an equal stake in the band's brand.
The Jonathan Ross Show airs Saturday 10th November at 10.05pm on ITV
