The 'missing link' or Mr Link as he comes to be known is voiced by Hangover star, Zach Galifianakis.

In the trailer we see the two main characters meet and after a disarming first encounter, the pair form an unlikely friendship.

Standing eight feet tall, weighing 630lbs and covered entirely in ginger fur, Mr. Link looks completely adorable.

The film sees him and Sir Lionel Frost set off together in search of some of his distant relatives.

They seek out the help of Adelina Fortnight, played by Zoe Saldana, who holds the map to the ancient region of Shangri-La, where they believe Mr Link’s family are found.

To create the stop-motion effect, over 110 sets were built, with as much as 65 unique locations.

As well as being one of the most striking animations set to arrive next year, it also features one of the strongest cast lists.

Stephen Fry, Emma Thompson, Little Britain pair Matt Lucas and David Walliams, Ching Valdez-Aran and Game of Thrones’ Amrita Acharia all lend their voices to the production.

The film is directed by Kubo and the Two Strings’ Chris Butler and is released in UK cinemas on April 12 2019.

It's not long to go now until I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here starts with new host Holly Willoughby.

The This Morning presenter was all smiles as she made her way out and about in London ahead of stint co-hosting the award-winning show.

The 37-year-old, who is due to leave for Australia any day now, showed she's already got her sunglasses sorted for the trip, wearing a large pair of Ray Bans as she waved to fans near her house.
