THIS Morning’s loss is I’m A Celebrity’s gain as Holly Willoughby leaves grey and bleak London behind for the Australian summer sunshine.
The 37-year-old has jetted Down Under to join 43-year-old Declan Donnelly to co-host the 2018 series of long running reality show, I’m A Celeb.
Stomping through Heathrow airport on her way to Australia, Holly looked fresh and relaxed as she sported a leather jacket and black jeans.
The TV star is taking all her family along with her – including her three children – while she works on the ITV reality show which kicks off at 9pm on Sunday 18 November.
But working during the Australian summer will be no holiday camp – for either Holly or her kids.
She explains.
“The children will have a tutor out there, they’ve got loads to do,” she said of children Harry, nine, Belle, seven, and Chester, four.
“I’ve spoken to their teachers. The kids are like, ‘What do you mean we’re not going on holiday?’,” the star revealed.
“I’ve had to be really clear with them, they can play for a couple of hours but none of us are on holiday. We’re all doing work,” she added.
Indeed, Holly has a trial ahead as she aims to fill the Ant McPartlin shaped hole in the I’m A Celeb hosting line-up.
Ant is excluded from the 2018 series after being disgraced back in March.
The 42-year-old star pleaded guilty to drink driving after being involved in a car crash that hospitalised a four-year-old girl.
But Holly hopes Ant will return to I’m A Celeb in the future.
“I’m just looking after it until he gets back. It’s lovely that he trusted me with it,” Holly told The Sun on her feelings that her disgraced friend Ant will return to the show eventually.
“It’s much easier if you work with somebody who is a friend. When you genuinely get on on screen, it’s going to work. It’s unsurprising,” she continued.
